A supportive and inclusive secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking motivated graduates to join their team as Graduate Teaching Assistants from September 2025. This long-term role is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable school-based experience while supporting students and contributing to a positive learning environment.

About the role:

Support teachers with whole-class activities, small group work, and 1:1 support

Help students develop key skills across a range of subjects

Assist in maintaining an organised and well-managed classroom environment

Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging atmosphere for learning

Work closely with experienced teaching and support staff to enhance your own skills

Learn about the day-to-day life of a secondary school and the teaching profession
What we’re looking for:

Graduates with a 2:1 or higher in any subject area

Strong interest in Maths, English, Science, Modern Foreign Languages (MFL), or Humanities is a bonus – but all disciplines are welcome

A genuine interest in supporting secondary-aged pupils and helping them thrive

Confident communication, enthusiasm, and a positive, professional attitude

Adaptable, reliable, and self-motivated individuals
-
Previous experience with young people is an advantage but not essential
