Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – SEN Focus – Up to £550 per week

Location: Warwickshire Primary School
Start Date: Immediate or September 2025

We are supporting an inclusive and welcoming primary school in Warwickshire to recruit a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant focused on working with children with special educational needs (SEN). This is a full-time, long-term opportunity ideal for a graduate eager to make a difference and develop practical classroom skills.

Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to primary pupils with additional needs
  • Assisting the SENCO and class teachers with delivering targeted interventions
  • Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Helping children build confidence, resilience, and positive learning habits
  • Tracking progress and contributing to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews
  • Communicating regularly with teachers, parents, and support staff
  • Promoting a calm, consistent, nurturing classroom environment
  • Participating in training and reflective practice to support your professional growth

Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

  • A 2:1 degree or above in any subject
  • Genuine interest in working with children and SEN
  • Previous experience with children (volunteering or work) is desirable but not essential
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive, proactive mindset
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A long-term interest in working in education or related roles
