Social Worker - Assessment Team within Assessment Service, South Devon - Exeter, UK, earning £38 per hour, Full time, 3 months
Dive into an influential role as a Social Worker in our dynamic Assessment Team located in Exeter! This exciting 3-month locum position offers a rewarding opportunity to engage closely with children, young people, and families as part of an Ofsted Improvement Plan. The candidates will be required in the office 5 days a week (duty week) and 3 days a week (non duty week).

What you will do:
- Conduct detailed Child and Family Assessments to determine the support children and families require.
- Carry out section 47 Child Protection enquiries to assess if children require protection or need to be taken into care swiftly.
- Collaborate with a team of Social Workers, ASYE’s, and Family Practitioners to provide holistic family support, modelling best practices for peers.
- Engage in robust interventions, working directly with families to address emergencies or court-related cases, ensuring all actions lead to positive outcomes.
- Spend time in the office to manage duties effectively, allowing for timely interactions with families and attending urgent matters as needed.
