Job Title: Residential Care Worker - Children & Young People
Location: West Glamorgan
Pay Rate: £15.95 per hour (Umbrella)
Additional: Sleep-in rate available for night shifts
Contract Type: Flexible ad-hoc shifts with the potential for block bookings

Sanctuary Personnel is currently looking for committed Residential Care Workers to support children and young people in residential care settings throughout West Glamorgan. These roles offer the opportunity to work ad-hoc shifts with the possibility of block bookings depending on client needs.

In this role, you will play a key part in promoting the well-being and development of children and young people, helping them build resilience and achieve positive outcomes. You will be working within a team to provide consistent care, guidance, and support.

Key Duties:

· Support children and young people with daily living tasks and personal development

· Create a safe and nurturing environment in residential care settings

· Implement tailored care plans and support each young person’s individual needs

· Assist with activities, education, and promoting positive behaviours

· Manage challenging situations with a calm and professional approach

· Accurately record progress, incidents, and other relevant information

· Work collaboratively with other staff and professionals to ensure consistent care

Essential Requirements:

· Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent

· Experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting

· Compassionate, reliable, and able to build positive relationships

· Ability to manage ad-hoc shifts, including night shifts with sleep-in duties

· Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude

· A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
