Social Worker - Assessment Team in Somerset UK, earning £38.57 hourly on an ongoing basis. What you will do:
- Work with children and families to complete thorough assessments that accurately reflect individual circumstances, including needs, risks, strengths, and protective factors.
- Develop meaningful action plans to ensure children are protected from significant harm and receive appropriate multi-agency support.
- Manage a caseload of varying complexity, tailored to your experience, skills, and qualifications.
- Receive and address referrals from various sources, assessing needs under statutory frameworks.
- Collaborate with partner agencies and other Children's Services teams to provide comprehensive support.
- Participate in a duty rota to respond to crisis situations, supporting children to remain safely within their families.
- Enable and empower families and carers to tackle health, financial, emotional, and social challenges, helping them achieve and sustain positive change.
