History ECT – What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering engaging and thought-provoking History lessons across KS3–KS5
  • Encouraging critical thinking, historical inquiry, and debate in the classroom
  • Inspiring curiosity about past events and their impact on the present
  • Supporting students with a range of abilities through differentiated instruction
  • Assessing student progress, giving constructive feedback, and refining your approach
  • Creating an inclusive learning environment where all voices are valued
  • Collaborating with colleagues to design and enhance the History curriculum
  • Motivating students to consider future study or careers in History and related fields

History ECT – What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS, or an ECT ready to start their teaching career
  • A degree in History or a closely related subject
  • A strong passion for teaching and inspiring young learners
  • Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to deliver rich, engaging lessons
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A creative, reflective, and adaptable teaching style
  • A team-oriented mindset and a commitment to ongoing professional development
