Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Sandwell

Up to £520 per week | Immediate or September 2025 Start | Full-Time

Are you a recent graduate eager to support young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

Interested in gaining hands-on experience in a welcoming and inclusive secondary school?

We’re working closely with a supportive secondary school in Sandwell, currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately or from September 2025.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives while laying the groundwork for a future career in education, psychology, or SEN support.

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role:

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN such as autism, ADHD and dyslexia

• Support teachers with inclusive lesson delivery and classroom management

• Assist students in developing essential skills in literacy, numeracy, and communication

• Promote a positive, safe, and encouraging learning environment

• Collaborate with SENCOs and teaching staff to implement personalised support strategies

What We’re Looking For:

• A 2:1 degree (or higher) in Psychology, Education, Sociology, or a related subject

• A genuine passion for supporting secondary-aged students with additional needs

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Empathy, patience, and adaptability to meet individual learning styles

• Previous experience in an educational or SEN environment is beneficial but not essential
