What You Will Do Manage a diverse caseload of adults including older adults, and individuals with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, and mental health needs. Undertake Care Act Assessments and Mental Capacity Assessments, and complete Best Interest decisions. Develop outcome-focused support plans and arrange care packages, direct payments, and placements. Carry out Section 42 safeguarding enquiries in line with the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005. Work collaboratively with health professionals, housing, police, and voluntary sector partners. Respond to urgent situations including hospital discharges and carer breakdowns. Maintain high-quality records and reports in line with council policies and professional standards. Requirements Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work. Registration with Social Work England. Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and safeguarding legislation. Proven experience in community-based adult social work. Confident in managing complex caseloads and working within multi-agency environments. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential. Why Shropshire?
