What you will do:
- Supervise and manage the statutory orders imposed on children and young people, encouraging compliance and utilizing enforcement processes when necessary.
- Prepare comprehensive pre-sentence and referral order reports, ensuring they meet national standards and support positive outcomes.
- Represent the Youth Justice Service in various court settings, providing expert testimony and robust representation.
- Collaborate with children’s service social work teams to support young people in local authority accommodation, facilitating community involvement and reducing re-offending risk.
- Engage proactively with the Secure Estate, assisting young people in custody with behavior interventions and community resettlement plans.
- Conduct insightful assessments using ASSETPlus and other tools, accurately determining risk levels and crafting effective intervention strategies.
- Develop and deliver targeted intervention plans addressing specific needs, promoting positive change, community safety, and victim support.
- Champion multi-agency cooperation, maintaining clear communication and regular participation in case reviews.
- Offer valued opportunities for restorative justice between victims and offenders.
- Act as an ambassador for the Youth Justice Service, liaising with other organisations to promote collaboration and share valuable insights.
