Transport Planner in Wrexham

The Role – Transport Planner:

• Supporting the Transport Manager in the efficient and safe operation of the distribution department
• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene standards
• Assisting with the planning and scheduling of vehicle repairs and services
• Monitoring route performance and mileage
• Investigating and reporting accidents accurately and promptly
• Conducting audits and ensuring legal compliance with driver hours and tachograph records
• Overseeing vehicle cleanliness and defect reporting
• Supporting driver licence compliance checks
• Assisting with staff investigations and disciplinary processes
• Deputising for Routing/Head of Department as needed
• Promoting a team-based, compliant and efficient working environment

What our client is looking for in an Transport Planner:

• Experience working in a busy logistics/transport environment – ESSENTIAL
• Strong initiative and level-headed decision-making – ESSENTIAL
• Excellent communication and people management skills 
• CPC - DESIRABLE 
• Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, and transport systems – ESSENTIAL
