As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role alongside Team Managers and senior colleagues in safeguarding adults and ensuring Medway Council fulfils all statutory responsibilities. What You Will Do:

  • Operate as a safeguarding social worker, working closely with the team to support and protect adults in the community.

  • Conduct risk assessments and manage a diverse caseload, ensuring all statutory and legislative requirements are met.

  • Balance fieldwork and hybrid working, including face-to-face visits and collaborative office days.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to colleagues, supporting the continuous improvement of the team.

  • Maintain accurate and timely records, ensuring accountability and quality service delivery.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualifying experience in safeguarding or a related service.

  • Registered Social Worker with Social Work England.

  • Must be a car driver with access to a vehicle for community visits.

  • Ability to adapt to hybrid working, with office attendance typically 1–2 days per week.
