This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6/7 Advanced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to work in Guernsey, UK within Adult Acute/Community settings. What you will do:
- Deliver highly specialist speech and language therapy assessment and intervention as an autonomous practitioner, using sound clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice to craft effective, individualised care plans.
- Manage your own caseload independently in line with referral criteria, ensuring prioritisation and efficiency in service delivery.
- Triage, monitor, and oversee incoming referrals, using your professional discretion and extensive clinical knowledge to support prioritisation and effective caseload management.
- Employ advanced clinical reasoning and negotiation skills to develop care plans that align with client goals and clinical needs, while communicating these effectively.
- Provide highly specialist dysphagia advice and support, including second opinions and cover for the Lead Speech and Language Therapist.
Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy, with HCPC registration.
- Recent experience within the UK or NHS as a Speech and Language Therapist is essential.
