What you will do:

• Undertake safeguarding enquiries in line with Section 42 of the Care Act 2014

• Complete holistic assessments of risk, need, and capacity

• Develop, implement, and regularly review protection and support plans

• Work with adults to promote choice, control, and least restrictive practice

• Apply the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and lead best interest decision-making

• Lead and contribute to multi-agency meetings and strategy discussions

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work

Registration & Compliance:

• Registered with Social Work England

• Enhanced DBS

• Right to Work in the UK

Key Skills:

• Strong safeguarding and risk assessment skills

• Sound knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005

• Ability to make confident professional judgements

• Excellent communication, analytical, and report-writing skills

• Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment

• Confident IT and case management skills

Experience:

• Post-qualification experience as a Social Worker

• Experience working in adult safeguarding and protection

• Experience managing complex and high-risk cases

• Proven experience of multi-agency working
