What you will do:

• Work closely with children who are subject to child protection plans, ensuring families have the necessary support to address identified worries.
• Collaborate with a Specialist Family Support team and a multi-disciplinary team including substance abuse workers, domestic violence workers, and emotional health and well-being experts.
• Chair core group meetings and regularly assess family progress to ensure effective intervention plans.
• Support families to reduce risks and navigate away from court proceedings when possible.
• Conduct parenting and risk assessments that guide future planning and timescales.
• Initiate care proceedings when necessary and work within the team to adhere to the 26-week timescale in court proceedings.
• Engage proactively in recording thoughtful documentation to support the children under your care.
