What you will do:

- Case Management & Assessment: Undertake high-quality assessments and reports for court under Section 7 or Section 37 of the Children Act 1989. Analyse complex family dynamics and make evidence-based recommendations regarding the child's best interests. Assess parental capacity and the impact of conflict, domestic abuse, or other risks on the child.
- Court Work: Prepare clear, concise, and analytical reports for court hearings. Attend and give evidence in family court proceedings as required. Liaise with legal professionals, CAFCASS officers, and other agencies involved in private law cases.
- Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with partner agencies including education, health, and police to gather relevant information for assessments. Contribute to case conferences, planning meetings, and other professional forums.
- Child-Centred Practice: Ensure the voice and wishes of the child are central to all assessments and decision-making. Provide advice, guidance, and support to families to help them resolve disputes in a child-focused manner.
- Professional Standards: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, policy, and guidance relevant to private law and child welfare. Adhere to professional standards as set out by Social Work England and local authority procedures. Participate in supervision, training, and continuing professional development.
