What You Will Do:

  • Receive and analyse incoming contacts and referrals concerning children at potential risk of harm.

  • Undertake threshold decision-making using Plymouth’s Continuum of Need and statutory frameworks.

  • Collaborate with multiple agencies, including police, health, and education, to complete multi-agency risk assessments.

  • Participate in daily MASH meetings, contributing insights and sharing intelligence to inform case outcomes.

  • Record decisions, rationales, and next steps clearly and accurately on the Mosaic case management system.

  • Complete Section 17 Child in Need assessments and Section 47 child protection enquiries, where appropriate.

  • Liaise effectively with Early Help, Children’s Social Care, and partner agencies to ensure smooth case transitions.

  • Use Signs of Safety and other evidence-based frameworks to promote strengths-based practice.

  • Keep children and families’ voices central to all assessments, planning, and decisions.

  • Support service improvement initiatives and help develop MASH practice and processes.
