Purpose of the Role

To lead organisational development and change initiatives within the Neighbourhoods Programme, driving transformation and supporting council objectives. You will enhance service delivery, promote community engagement, and contribute to workforce and cultural development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and evaluate organisational development initiatives linked to the Neighbourhoods Programme

  • Develop strategies to improve organisational culture, staff engagement, and workforce capability

  • Advise senior leaders on change management, workforce planning, and talent development

  • Ensure organisational development strategies align with council priorities and community outcomes

  • Oversee programme and project management to deliver milestones and objectives

  • Coordinate cross-departmental projects and integrate OD approaches with operational delivery

  • Identify risks, monitor progress, and report insights to senior leadership and programme boards

  • Facilitate service redesign, improvement initiatives, and problem-solving

  • Support managers and leaders in developing skills, capabilities, and performance management approaches

  • Design and deliver interventions such as leadership development and staff engagement programmes

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Act as a trusted advisor on organisational development matters

  • Develop frameworks to measure the impact of initiatives on organisational performance
