What you will do:
- Prepare comprehensive assessments for fostering and legal proceedings, ensuring the best outcomes for children and their families.
- Support carers through the temporary approval process, providing regular supervision and guidance.
- Work to meet regulatory requirements, delivering a high-quality service that prioritises the needs of children.
- Advocate for children and young people, demonstrating exemplary social work practice in line with statutory obligations.
- Encourage a restorative practice approach, promoting collaboration and open dialogue.
Your skills and experience:
- You hold a social work qualification and are registered with Social Work England.
- You have successfully completed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
- Experienced in social care and multi-agency environments, with knowledge of fostering regulations.
- You possess strong written and verbal communication skills, alongside robust recording and planning capabilities.
- Knowledgeable in relevant children’s social work legislation, models, and theories.
- You have a valid UK driving licence and access to a car for community visits.
