What you will do:

  • Deliver an exceptional social work service to children and families with unmet needs or at risk of harm.
  • Work collaboratively with other social service sections, private and voluntary partners, health services, and emergency services to ensure an integrated and effective response.
  • Maintain professional accountability while allocating resources and ensure adherence to statutory timescales for assessments and reviews.
  • Build strong relationships with children and their families/carers, helping them participate in decision-making and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Conduct safeguarding investigations, complete risk assessments, and prepare reports for strategy meetings and case conferences.
  • Develop knowledge of available community-based interventions and maintain good communications with relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present detailed written reports and professionally manage a complex caseload.
  • Participate in professional supervision, training, and seminars to support your ongoing development and service improvement.
