Position: Social Worker - Duty Team Specialism: Children's Services Location: Nottingham, UK Salary: £32 per hour Job Type: Locum Duration: 3 months

With a competitive rate of £32 per hour, you'll be involved in progressing children's assessments, handling varied cases such as Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children Looked After (CLA). Your role will be essential, taking cases to Initial Child Protection Conferences (ICPC), working on court presentations, and showcasing your expertise at Looked After Children reviews with a tactical week on duty and three weeks to follow through with case work.

What you will do:

• Conduct in-depth assessments of children and families to evaluate needs and risks
• Progress cases from initial encounters through to closure or transition
• Participate in and manage the full cycle of duty, including case allocation, conducting visits, and completing assessments in a timely manner
• Engage in multidisciplinary meetings, including ICPC and LAC reviews, providing your expert insights
• Prepare for and present cases in court, ensuring the best outcomes for children and families
• Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to create and implement effective care plans
