Job Title: Social Worker – Duty & Assessment Team

Salary: £36 Hourly
Contract: Full-Time Locum, 3 Months (with potential extension)

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to determine intervention needs and ensure safety.

  • Collaborate with multi-agency partners to deliver holistic support and positive outcomes.

  • Develop and implement tailored care plans, monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as needed.

  • Lead and participate in strategy discussions and child protection conferences, providing expert guidance.

  • Maintain accurate and timely records, ensuring compliance with legislation and local policies.

  • Support families with advice and resources to navigate challenges effectively.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years in a permanent local authority role.

  • At least two years’ experience in a duty and assessment position.

  • Must not have held a permanent or fixed-term position within the last 12 weeks.

  • CVs must clearly indicate previous roles as permanent or agency positions.
