Social Worker within Safeguarding Team for Children in Kingston upon Thames UK, Ongoing Full time

What you will do:

- Manage a caseload of children with a focus on progressing and delivering long-term plans
- Conduct regular assessments and apply thresholds effectively
- Carry out home visits and direct work with children and families
- Develop care plans, chair meetings, and maintain case records adhering to our policies
- Collaborate with Social Work Assistants, Family Support Workers, and various specialists to drive positive changes
- Participate in reflective supervision every four weeks and seek guidance from your line manager

The Safeguarding Teams in Achieving for Children are dedicated to supporting children and families involved in Child Protection and Child in Need plans. You will be working alongside specialist workers ensuring sustainable and creative solutions for families.

About you:
To be successful in this role, you should have a degree-level qualification in social work, and be registered with Social Work England. We are looking for someone who has a thorough understanding and experience with child protection investigations, statutory legislation, and risk management. You should possess strong analytical, planning, and communication skills and have experience in building partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
