Are you an experienced Social Worker looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting ongoing opportunity for a Social Worker in our Forest of Dean Children & Families Team in Gloucestershire. This full-time locum position offers £42 per hour and involves holding a diverse caseload of around 18 children, covering Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care (CIC), which includes some court work. Our commitment is to provide effective, evidence-based interventions while maintaining flexibility for our staff. We support a balance between work and home life with potential for some home working. The role requires you to work from the office three days a week with all children seen face to face.

What you will do:
- Manage a caseload of children across the spectrum of CIN, CP, and CIC.
- Conduct face-to-face visits and assessments to gather detailed family information and build a comprehensive understanding of each child's needs.
- Develop and implement care plans that prioritise safety, stability, and well-being based on thorough evidence.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to provide a holistic approach to care and safeguarding.
- Attend court and provide evidence when required, ensuring that children's voices are at the centre of all proceedings.

Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
- Previous experience working in the UK as a Social Worker.
- Understanding of complex family issues and the ability to effectively communicate with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
