What You Will Do:

  • Conduct thorough referral screenings, making clear and well-informed threshold decisions to ensure timely and appropriate intervention.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of decisions, outcomes, and case details, ensuring effective communication across agencies.

  • Manage a specialist caseload of complex and high-risk cases, using evidence-based assessments and interventions.

  • Ensure that the voice of the child remains central in every decision and action taken.

  • Mentor and guide less experienced social workers, offering professional support, reflection, and learning opportunities.

  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to deliver coordinated safeguarding responses.

  • Contribute to practice improvement and service development initiatives, embedding best practice across the team.
