What You Will Do:

Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and supervise social workers, senior social workers, and support staff across Localities and the Integrated Front Door.
Supervision and Development: Provide reflective supervision, performance management, and professional development support to build a strong and effective team.
Front Door Oversight: Oversee screening, decision-making, and the progression of referrals through the Integrated Front Door, ensuring consistent application of thresholds.
Case Oversight: Authorise assessments, plans, and key decisions, maintaining oversight of complex and high-risk cases to ensure robust assessment and planning.
Workload Management: Allocate and manage workloads effectively to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality practice.
Strategic Contribution: Chair or contribute to strategy discussions, legal planning meetings, and complex case reviews, ensuring statutory timescales and performance standards are met.
Quality Assurance: Lead audits and quality assurance activity, driving service improvement through learning and practice development.
Partnership Working: Collaborate closely with police, health, education, early help, and partner agencies, representing Children’s Services in multi-agency forums.
