As a Children's Team Manager, you will assist in the effective delivery of social services within your defined area. You will be responsible for supervising, supporting and advising a team of social workers while contributing to the management and delivery of high-quality, cost-effective services that meet the individual needs of children with disabilities.

What you will do:
- Manage the prioritisation and allocation of work within the team of social workers, identifying resource shortages, and contributing to the planning and development of targeted services within policy and legal obligations.
- Report to the Principal Manager, taking accountability for all elements of individual cases within the team's workload, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, including staff well-being, care, and development.
- Provide direction and motivation to staff through regular support and supervision, in line with supervision policy and management procedures.
- Maintain documentation, record-keeping, accounting and communication across the team, fostering effective partnership working with statutory, voluntary, and independent sectors.
About you:
Successful candidates must hold a Social Work England registration, a DipSW/CQSW, or equivalent, along with evidence of progression within child or family services. You should have experience with Child Protection enquiries, Care Planning, and Statutory Reviews. Knowledge of Child Development, child care law, Leaving Care legislation, and procedures related to Children Looked After is essential. You will have a background in supervising staff or managing student resources and the ability to assess risks effectively. Excellent skills in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working, with competency in organising meetings and using various information systems, will be crucial.
Requirements:
- Social Work England registration
- Post-qualifying experience
- At least 3 years of permanent experience
- Enhanced DBS, with preference for those on the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK
