What you will do:
- Lead and manage the Adult Services team, providing guidance and supervision to social workers and other staff.
- Oversee and ensure the delivery of high-quality social work services to adults, adhering to statutory requirements and best practice guidelines.
- Work closely with other teams and agencies to provide a coordinated approach to care and support for adults.
- Manage case allocations, monitor workloads, and ensure cases are effectively managed within the team.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the service.
- Maintain up-to-date records and reports, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and timely.
- Provide mentorship and support to staff, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.
Requirements of a Deputy Team Manager: You must possess a degree or equivalent in social work and have current registration with Social Work England. Recent managerial experience in a Team Manager, Deputy Team Manager, or Assistant Team Manager role is essential. Additionally, you should bring significant frontline experience within Adults Services, showcasing your capability and understanding of the sector.
