What you will do:

- Triage and assess incoming referrals concerning children at risk, applying thresholds in line with statutory guidance such as 'Working Together to Safeguard Children.' Ensure that the most appropriate interventions are selected to secure positive outcomes.
- Make informed decisions regarding suitable interventions, whether it is Early Help, a Child in Need plan, or conducting Section 47 enquiries, ensuring that actions align with legal and safety obligations.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to both team members and partner agencies, enhancing the overall decision-making process.
- Support the Team Manager by overseeing complex cases and managing associated risks, ensuring high-quality case management.
- Undertake audits and quality assurance activities, contributing proactively to service improvement initiatives.
- Act as a mentor and role model to budding social workers, providing essential coaching and supervision support.
- Facilitate collaboration with multi-agency partners such as the police, healthcare providers, and educational institutions within a Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) environment.
- Ensure precise and timely recording that meets legal and organisational standards.
