What you will do:

- Plan and monitor tasks that support the successful delivery of business objectives within your designated team as a supervisor in Adult Services.
- Oversee the effective appraisal and supervision of staff, driving continuous improvement in service delivery for the Council.
- Ensure compliance with Safeguarding Adults in line with local and national policy and legislation.
- Support team members in maintaining and developing high professional standards.
- Promote a strengths-based model of self-directed support, empowering service users and carers to identify outcome-focused solutions.
- Directly supervise selected staff, manage workload allocations, and assess their performance.
- Be financially astute and accountable for the financial implications of your work, focusing on maintaining budgetary limits while maximizing independence for service users.
- Develop and uphold high standards of practice and be accountable for service delivery according to departmental standards, working autonomously yet collaboratively with your team manager.
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary approach to align with integration plans for health and care services in Hackney.
- Work closely with the Team Manager and Consultant Social Worker to identify priorities and balance development with practice.
- Actively contribute to Quality Assurance Frameworks, including safeguarding, working in sync with the Quality Assurance Team and relevant stakeholders.
