Senior Social Work Practitioner - Assessment and Safeguarding in Darlington UK - £33.38 Hourly

We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Senior Social Work Practitioner specialising in Assessment and Safeguarding based in Darlington UK. This locum role offers a rewarding hourly rate of £33.38 and requires a commitment of 37 hours per week. As part of our team within the Assessment and Safeguarding Service, you'll play a vital role in supporting children and families right from the point of referral requiring social work intervention. The position supports hybrid working with an office base at the Town Hall in Darlington, allowing for flexibility to manage your own diary while ensuring the needs of the families you support are met. Any extra hours worked can be compensated through TOIL upon agreement with the Team Manager.

What you will do:

  • Conduct comprehensive Child and Families Assessments to identify support and intervention needs.
  • Manage a diverse caseload including Children in Need, Child Protection, and Children in our care.
  • Engage with families, providing required support and safeguarding services effectively.
  • Work closely with partner organisations and local authorities to maintain excellent service standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure consistent support through your interventions.
  • Attend and contribute to team and service meetings as required.
