The duration of this engaging role is three months, making it an ideal option for those looking to make a difference in the short term.

What you will do:

  • Lead and manage the Youth Justice Team, which includes 2 Team Managers, 2 Team Leads, a Restorative Justice Worker, 10 Youth Justice Officers, and 2 Support Workers.
  • Oversee the team’s work with approximately 100 children, from prevention and out-of-court disposals to statutory interventions and custody.
  • Coordinate and participate in the weekday office hours duty rota and the Saturday duty manager rota (1 in every 4 weeks).
  • Work collaboratively with your team to ensure effective planning and implementation of youth justice strategies.
  • Mentor and support team members, promoting professional development and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Utilize the Child View recording system to maintain and monitor case records effectively.
