What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments including medical history evaluations and preparing patients for surgery.
- Assist in surgeries as a scrub nurse, maintaining sterile technique and supporting the surgical team.
- Oversee post-operative recovery, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
- Collaborate with senior staff in care planning and participate in educational programmes.
- Ensure high standards of care within the multidisciplinary team.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments and supplies, adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Monitor patient safety during surgery and maintain accurate documentation.
- Provide discharge education and ensure proper post-operative care documentation.
- Participate in hospital policies and health and safety requirements.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centred care.
