What you will do:

  • Hold professional responsibility for the work conducted by Social Work staff providing assessment and care management support to Adult Social Care.
  • Oversee the daily management operations of the team, ensuring service delivery is effective and efficient.
  • Collaborate with the Service Manager and Team Manager to develop, plan, and deliver high-quality services, ensuring that best value, choice, and control are prioritised.
  • Provide supervision to social workers, guiding case management to achieve the best outcomes for residents.
  • Assist in managing resources effectively to deliver high-quality, integrated services without compromising standards.
  • Ensure processes, policies, and procedures comply with national legal frameworks and local service policies, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Offer consultancy, mentoring, and coaching to social workers and other safeguarding professionals, supporting them in assessment, support planning, service delivery, and review.
  • Organise assessment and development programmes for staff, enabling them to excel in assessment and care management skills.
  • Promote a positive image to internal and external partners, proactively seeking opportunities to grow and develop the business.
