What you will do:
- Undertake specialist functional assessments in children's homes, schools, and community settings.
- Recommend and coordinate the provision of essential equipment, seating arrangements, manual handling plans, and minor adaptations.
- Collaborate with families, carers, and professionals to create personalised plans promoting independence, inclusion, play, and participation.
- Contribute to the design of major home adaptations by working in tandem with housing officials, surveyors, architects, and partner agencies.
- Deliver high-quality written reports to support Disabled Facilities Grants, rehousing applications, and statutory assessments.
To thrive in this role, you need to be an HCPC-registered occupational therapist. A driving licence is desirable to facilitate travel to different community settings efficiently.
