What you will do:

  • Conduct detailed assessments to deliver essential Occupational Therapy services to disabled individuals and their families or carers, focusing on equipment provision and major adaptations.
  • Utilise your deep understanding of Care Act legislation related to health and social care, which includes expertise in housing, equipment, safeguarding, and adaptations.
  • Lead and provide supervision to up to 8 team members such as Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Community Care Officers ensuring seamless service delivery and professional governance.
  • Serve as a mentor, providing advice, quality assurance, and guidance while promoting collaborative problem-solving for optimal outcomes for all citizens.
  • Engage actively in service development by driving best practices in social care through proactive engagement and innovation, continuously aiming to improve service quality.
  • Carry out complex assessments and care planning, particularly in affecting safety related to equipment or adaptations, supporting those early in their careers.


Requirements:

  • Possession of HCPC registration is essential.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Occupational Therapy, ideally with a specialism in adaptations.
  • A driving licence is preferable but not essential.
