What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive initial assessments for patients with various neurological conditions including Stroke, Acute Brain Injury, and Spinal Rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Manage complex and specialist cases, utilising strong clinical reasoning skills.
- Document patient progress thoroughly and accurately.
- Conduct necessary risk assessments to ensure patient safety and effective care.
- Utilise your understanding of the relationship between physical, cognitive, psychological, and social dimensions of illness to inform treatment.
- Stay informed on current legislation affecting occupational therapy practices.
Requirements:
- HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist.
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- Recent or current UK NHS experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience with neurological conditions, confident in treating complex cases in the field of neurological therapy.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency with computer systems.
