Job Details:

• Pay: £33,000 per annum, rising following successful completion of probation
• Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off shift pattern – 2 days, 2 nights. 6am–6pm and 6pm–6am
• Duration: Permanent
• Benefits: Free on-site parking, training and development opportunities, salary progression following successful completion of probation, standard pension and 20 days' holiday plus bank holidays

Job Role: As a Mill Operative, you will be responsible for operating production machinery and supporting the mixing and weighing of ingredients within a busy manufacturing environment. The Mill Operative will follow work instructions and maintain high standards of hygiene while ensuring cross-contamination is avoided through production awareness. Duties will also include maintaining production records, controlling finished product bins, obtaining feed samples as required and ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing environment is essential for the Mill Operative position
• Comfortable undertaking heavy lifting as part of daily duties
• Previous experience working shift patterns, including night shifts
• A positive attitude and strong approach to work are essential for a successful Mill Operative

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Mill Operative or operating machinery within a mill environment would be advantageous
