What You Will Do:

• Lead, manage, and develop the Youth Offending Service Operations Team to ensure the effective delivery of high-quality youth justice interventions.

• Oversee caseload allocation and resource management, prioritising high-risk and first-time entrant cases to ensure timely and proportionate responses.

• Provide strategic leadership on complex cases involving serious youth violence, ensuring effective multi-agency collaboration and consistent information-sharing.

• Monitor performance standards, analyse data, and report on key indicators to drive continuous service improvement.

• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and practice frameworks, ensuring alignment with national legislation and local priorities.

• Oversee recruitment, induction, supervision, and appraisal processes to build a high-performing, motivated team.

• Collaborate with strategic partners, community groups, and other services to design and deliver innovative youth justice programs.

• Ensure the YOS Operations Team’s contribution to the wider Children’s Services and Community Safety agendas, promoting best practice and partnership working.
