What You Will Do:

Lead, manage, and develop the Youth Offending Service Operations Team to ensure the effective delivery of high-quality youth justice interventions.

Oversee caseload allocation and resource management, prioritising high-risk and first-time entrant cases to ensure timely and proportionate responses.

Provide strategic leadership on complex cases involving serious youth violence, ensuring effective multi-agency collaboration and consistent information-sharing.

Monitor performance standards, analyse data, and report on key indicators to drive continuous service improvement.

Develop and implement policies, procedures, and practice frameworks, ensuring alignment with national legislation and local priorities.

Oversee recruitment, induction, supervision, and appraisal processes to build a high-performing, motivated team.

Collaborate with strategic partners, community groups, and other services to design and deliver innovative youth justice programs.

Ensure the YOS Operations Team’s contribution to the wider Children’s Services and Community Safety agendas, promoting best practice and partnership working.
