Shift: 4 on 4 off - Rotation of Days and Nights
Job Role of the Maintenance Engineer
A leading manufacturer in Telford is looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to strengthen its established engineering team. This is a predominantly planned maintenance role, with around 80% of the workload focused on PPMs, giving you the opportunity to take a proactive approach to equipment reliability rather than spending every shift responding to breakdowns.
You'll work across a varied range of high-volume production and processing equipment, carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance while supporting reactive faults when required. The role also offers involvement in continuous improvement, machinery installations and equipment upgrades as the business continues to invest across the site.
Sector - Manufacturing
Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer
- Level 3 engineering qualification.
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience with an electrical bias.
- Manufacturing or forces background.
Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
- Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance.
- Electrical and Mechanical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
- Experience completing reactive breakdown repairs.
- Able to work independently and make decisions when required.
Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
- Experience within a high-volume or process manufacturing environment.
- Experience working on automated production machinery.
- Knowledge of material handling and pneumatic systems.
- Experience supporting machinery installations or improvement projects.
- Apprenticeship background.
The Maintenance Engineer will benefit from:
