Line Leader in Telford, Shropshire

Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading food packaging company in their search for a number of Line Leaders to work in their leading facility near Telford.

For the successful Line Leader our client is offering;

• £34,669.44 per annum 
• 4 on 3 off, 12 hour shifts 06:00 to 18:00

As a Line Leader your responsibilities will be:

• Liaise with QA team, Senior Line Leader and Production Manager to be aware of potential raw material and finished goods quality issues.
• Set up job / batch for processing
• Record all raw / packing materials usage 
• Ensure and validate the date code and country of origin information
• Ensure there are sufficient raw material stock levels for the lines to run.
• Ensure that all production-related paperwork is completed and jobs have been signed off and closed.
• Coach, mentor, organise & take charge of a team of production operatives.
• Communicate line processing targets to the machine operative.
• Any other duties deemed necessary to the needs of the business.

What our client is looking for in a Line Leader:

• Previous experience as a Line Leader/ Supervisor in a food environment - ESSENTIAL 
• Aspirations and willingness to train to progress up the supervisory / production management ladder- PREFERRED
• Prepared to demonstrate flexibility in your role and assist the Production Management team- ESSENTIAL
• Attention to detail when documenting data.
• Internal Auditor and HACCP trained- ADVANTAGEOUS
• Able to motivate a team.
• Good knowledge of Fresh Produce.
• Excellent attitude towards Health and Safety.
