What you will do:

- Lead and inspire the Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) repairs service, ensuring exceptional customer service and meeting performance targets.
- Manage recruitment, training, and development of staff in alignment with our policies and objectives.
- Design and implement operational strategies to achieve service improvements and meet commercial objectives.
- Formulate and execute repairs policy and ensure alignment with legislative and customer demands.
- Foster a customer-focused environment, encouraging resident involvement and utilizing feedback for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with other managers and stakeholders to ensure a seamless customer journey.
- Promote a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Coordinate complex repairs with minimal disruption to residents, maintaining high-quality service standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, residents, and various stakeholders.
- Assess and improve customer demand response, contributing to efficient housing stock maintenance.

Skills, Experience, Knowledge & Abilities:

We are looking for individuals who have the following essential attributes:
- Proven ability to engage and motivate teams with clear targets and expectations.
- Strong customer service skills and a history of high customer satisfaction.
- Successful experience managing performance and giving constructive feedback.
- Skill in planning and managing budgets and resources effectively.
- Strong understanding of political structures and the role of elected members.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adaptively in fast-paced environments.
- Significant experience with high-value responsive repairs contracts.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory principles in housing.

Desirable:

- Experience managing projects.
- Experience working in a political environment.
