Purpose of the Post:
To assist the Home Manager in the daily care management of the home and to have continuing clinical responsibility for the home in the Home Manager’s absence.
What you will do:
- Support the Home Manager in delivering a high-quality service that caters to the comprehensive needs of residents, ensuring respect and dignity are maintained.
- Engage actively with the management team in the operational management of the home, aligning with the home’s care philosophy.
- Participate in the recruitment, induction, and ongoing supervision of staff, including conducting annual performance reviews.
- Manage staffing deployment within budgetary constraints and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Foster effective working relationships with medical practitioners, social workers, and other health professionals.
Requirements:
- Registered General or Mental Health Nurse or another relevant health or social care qualification.
- Experience with elderly care, especially dementia care, is essential.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends and being on-call as necessary.
