Key Responsibilities

Deliver statutory child protection services in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and relevant legislation
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children’s needs and family circumstances
Formulate, implement, and review plans that prioritise the welfare and outcomes of the child
Provide support, guidance, and interventions to help families strengthen resilience and independence
Prepare high-quality reports for courts and multi-agency meetings, and provide evidence when required
Chair and contribute to core group and multi-agency meetings effectively
Maintain accurate case records and documentation using local systems
Undertake direct work with children and families to progress plans and secure timely outcomes
Work collaboratively with Lead Family Help Practitioners to ensure statutory duties are fulfilled
Complete specialist assessments following appropriate training
