What You Will Do:

  • Lead and manage a comprehensive diagnostic Audiology Service, overseeing both routine and complex assessments.

  • Conduct specialised diagnostic evaluations for referrals from GPs, ENT specialists, and self-referrals.

  • Deliver rehabilitative care for paediatric and adult patients, including fitting, maintenance, and review of hearing aids.

  • Provide expert counselling and communication support for patients, carers, and relatives to optimise hearing outcomes.

  • Select, verify, and programme digital hearing aids for children and adults using advanced clinical techniques.

  • Carry out outcome measures to assess hearing aid effectiveness and inform ongoing treatment plans.

  • Develop and implement individual management plans, contributing to ENT clinics with diagnostic support.

  • Ensure the maintenance and calibration of all audiology equipment, including Kamplex and Intracoustics devices, for precise and reliable results.

  • Manage and maintain paediatric assessment equipment, minimising the need for patient travel to mainland hospitals.

  • Foster strong collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary colleagues and external partners to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
