What you will do

• Obstetric Ultrasound Examinations: Perform high-quality obstetric ultrasound scans for NHS patients with accuracy and professionalism.
• Diagnostic Imaging: Produce clear and accurate imaging results to support clinical decision-making and patient care.
• Patient Care: Deliver compassionate, patient-centred care while ensuring patients are informed and supported throughout examinations.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date patient records in line with professional standards.
• Multi-Disciplinary Working: Collaborate effectively with radiologists, midwives, obstetricians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Clinical Standards: Ensure all imaging procedures are carried out in accordance with departmental protocols and best practice guidelines.
• Mentoring: Support and develop junior colleagues by sharing knowledge, guidance, and professional expertise.
• Quality Assurance: Contribute to maintaining high standards of clinical governance, safety, and service quality.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Professional Registration: Current HCPC registration is essential.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience working as an Obstetric Sonographer, ideally within an NHS setting.
• Clinical Expertise: Demonstrable experience performing obstetric ultrasound examinations independently.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centred approach.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and across multiple sites.
• Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage workload efficiently and maintain high standards of documentation.
• Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable for travelling between sites.
