Key Responsibilities / What You Will Do

• Conduct comprehensive mental health and risk assessments for young people in crisis.
• Develop, implement, and review individualised care and crisis intervention plans.
• Use outcome measures to assess effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Participate in collaborative care meetings and multidisciplinary discussions.
• Provide compassionate emotional support and education for young people and their families.
• Promote a safe, therapeutic, and responsive environment for all service users.

Requirements / Candidate Criteria

Essential

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (NMC registered).
• Strong experience in crisis intervention and mental health nursing.
• Excellent assessment, planning, and risk‑management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Desirable

• Experience within CYPS or CAMHS crisis teams.
• Knowledge of crisis frameworks and mental health legislation.
• Previous community or acute crisis service experience.
