This full-time role offers a lucrative hourly rate of up to £40.00, starting as soon as possible for a duration of 12 weeks. What you will do:

- Manage a highly complex caseload of oncology patients
- Provide specialist dietetic support to individuals undergoing chemotherapy
- Support nutrition planning on acute surgical and rehabilitation wards
- Conduct advanced nutritional assessments and treatment plans
- Prescribe nutritional supplements when needed
- Assist with discharge planning and home enteral feeding pathways
- Run outpatient oncology clinics and provide telephonic and remote consultations
- Train patients and carers in using enteral feeding equipment and modifying food textures
- Communicate with tertiary cancer centres to ensure seamless patient care
- Deliver educational sessions and training to other healthcare professionals
- Conduct audits and participate in service evaluation and quality improvement projects

Requirements:

- HCPC registered Dietitian
- Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics
- Member of the British Dietetic Association
- Considerable experience in Dietetics with a focus on oncology
- Ability to handle complex cancer caseloads
- Proficiency in enteral feeding and nutrition support
- Experience in healthcare professional training
- Evident dedication to continuing professional development
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications
- Clean driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Further qualifications such as a Postgraduate Diploma or Master’s degree
- Membership of oncology or specialist BDA groups
- Experience in audit and service development projects
- Background in research and palliative care nutrition
