What you will do:

- Manage a caseload of designated schools or areas, taking responsibility for planning and delivering public health initiatives.
- Identify health needs within schools or communities and address health inequalities through evidence-based approaches.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate specialised programmes of care in partnership with children, young people, parents, and carers.
- Serve as the principal point of contact for allocated schools, fostering cooperative working relationships that support healthy outcomes.
- Deliver the Healthy Child Programme and immunisations for a designated area or school.
- Conduct school needs assessments in collaboration with Health Schools for Healthy Outcomes.
- Guide, advise, and direct other staff in providing service user care.
- Partner with public health, statutory, private, and voluntary providers to develop accessible and responsive practice.
- Facilitate service user involvement in care planning and evaluation, ensuring respect for their beliefs and dignity.
- Utilise data and information for decision-making and request clinical tests as needed for diagnosis.
- Work alongside other agencies, adhering to Local Safeguarding Board Procedures, and participate in clinical and child protection supervision.
- Champion health promotion and education for service users and their support networks.
- Offer training and advice sessions for colleagues and service users.
- Uphold professional standards within the sphere of responsibility.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper records and communicate compassionately with service users and their networks.
- Act as a role model for junior staff and take charge when required.
- Coordinate and lead multi-agency activities and contribute to team success, upholding strong professional values.
- Organise workload, assist with shift planning, propose service changes, and ensure a positive working environment.
