Band 6 Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist in Newmarket, Suffolk, earning up to £27.00 per hour on an hourly basis for a full-time locum role lasting 2 months. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced therapist to make a real difference in a vibrant and dynamic setting. With one position available, your expertise will be invaluable as you help to manage and improve the lives of older adults. Your skills will be utilised within a work schedule of Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30, with the possibility of occasional work in Sudbury. The role is expected to commence ASAP and continue for approximately 6–8 weeks.

What you will do

• Independently manage a caseload of complex older adults, assessing their mobility, transfers, and falls risk.

• Evaluate rehabilitation potential and functional abilities, developing and delivering short-term rehabilitation programmes.

• Support safe and timely discharge plans, from admission through to transitioning back into the community.

• Lead discharge planning and complete onward referrals to community services as needed.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.

• Support junior staff and students, fostering growth and development.

• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records and documentation to ensure continuity of care.
