Join us for an exciting opportunity as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist in the Mental Health Team located in vibrant Portsmouth, Hampshire. This full-time locum position offers up to £26.00 per hour over a 6-month period. You will be working from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, assisting in delivering top-notch mental health care to individuals with severe and enduring mental illness. This role requires the utilisation of the SystmOne system (experience desirable) and an NHS Care Identity Service Smartcard.

What you will do:

  • Manage a caseload of individuals with severe and enduring mental illness.
  • Deliver mental health assessments and interventions.
  • Implement and coordinate the Care Programme Approach (CPA).
  • Undertake risk assessments and risk management planning.
  • Develop and review care plans.
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams.
  • Support service users to achieve recovery-focused outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
  • Prioritise workload and manage competing demands effectively.
  • Contribute to integrated mental health service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist qualification.
  • Current professional registration.
  • Experience working with severe and enduring mental illness.
  • Experience implementing the Care Programme Approach (CPA).
  • Experience completing risk assessments and risk management plans.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience working within multi-agency environments.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Caseload management experience.
  • Competent IT skills.
  • Strong clinical record-keeping skills.
  • NHS Care Identity Service Smartcard.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to travel across service locations.

Desirable Requirements:

  • SystmOne experience.
  • Community Mental Health Team experience.
  • Previous NHS Mental Health Practitioner experience.

Car Driver Required:

Yes, a full UK driving licence is required to support effective travel across various service locations.
